A huge people powered effort is now needed to stop the hunger and starvation suffered by millions in the Horn of Africa. Horn of Africa Crisis Getting Worse by the Day

Major TV, News Media and Social Networks coverage is still missing. Thousands are dying every day. This crisis has been developing for some months now. Even today it is not getting the media attention it desperately needs. Over 10 million people are affected in Kenya, Somalia, Ethiopia and Uganda. The Dadaab refugee camp alone has over 300,000 living in desperately poor conditions. Hundreds of children are dying daily from hunger and preventable diseases. Conditions on the ground show that governments and NGO’s are not doing enough. Horn of Africa Famine - 10 million suffer hunger

Over 10 million people are suffering from famine, hunger and violence in the Horn of Africa region. Yet there is very little media coverage. Even more concerning is the inadequate level of activity by international governments and NGO’s to raise the massive amounts of funds needed to elleviate the suffering of these people. I have just been online to check the Dabab refugee camp Kenya, reported to have over 200,000 people living under plastic sheeting spread over sticks. This is shocking and very distressing. What is becoming of us as people? These people need help desperately and now. The Evening Standard London reports that, the G8 summit in Italy in 2009 promised £13 billion for agricultural projects in Africa.
