A simple but highly powerful dua... Every morning and every new day is a blessing from Allah swt

اللهم بك اصبحنا و بك امسينا و بك نحيا وبك نموت واليه النشور

Allahuma bika asbahna wa bika amsayna wa bika nahya wa bika namoot wa ilayhi al nushoor

O Allah by Your leave we have reached the evening, by Your leave we have reached the morning, by Your leave we live and die and to You is our return.

A simple but highly powerful dua... Every morning and every new day is a blessing from Allah swt. Every breath that we take is a blessing yet we take this all for granted... We act as if our days belong to us and that we own what is to come when the reality is that we don't even own the oxygen that we need to simply stay alive.

And remember when your Lord proclaimed, if you are grateful, I will surely increase you in favour but if you deny, indeed my punishment is severe (14:7)

I love this verse because it reminds us that even being grateful to Allah swt is a blessing in itself... Denying the blessings of Allah is the epitome of ignorance.

We cannot even count the blessings we have in an hour never mind a lifetime.. Simple things like sight, the feeling of happiness and even of sadness, these are all blessings from Allah swt.

This appreciation of the blessings bestowed upon us humbles us to Him, submits us to Him and natawakul (depend solely) to Him

May Allah swt grant us iman that infiltrates the callousness of our hearts and may He grant us with certainty after which there is no disbelief.
